Bio

Augustin is a seasoned facilities and security management professional with over 20 years of experience overseeing operations across various industries.  Specializing in building systems, vendor relations, safety compliance, and team leadership, Augustin has excelled in delivering efficient, high-quality facilities management in both large and small-scale environments.

He most recently served as Facilities and Security Manager at Phillips Auctioneer in New York, managing two locations and overseeing vendor relations, budget approvals, and daily observations of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.  He played a critical role in ensuring both facilities remain functional, secure, and in compliance with safety standards.

Before joining Phillips Auctioneer, Augustin was Assistant Plant Manager at Unitext in Mount Vernon, where he supervised multiple production supervisors and maintained operational standards for a fast-paced plant environment.  His leadership ensured the plant met productivity goals and upheld high standards of product quality.

Augustin also has a background in arts facilities as he served as Facilities Supervisor at The Shed, a multi-faceted cultural center in Hudson Yards.  Augustin was responsible for overseeing the daily facilities operations at this 200,000 square foot institution, including maintenance, event support, and guest services leading a team combined of both full-time and part-time, union and non-union staff, managing schedules, performance and training.  He was instrumental in preparing facilities for events from pre-event briefings to post-event loadouts, ensuring a seamless experience for guests and collaborators.  

Augustin has also held managerial and supervisory roles at Eataly and NBC Universal / CNBC - New York.  He is known amongst his colleagues for his strong leadership, excellent problem-solving abilities, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing a safe, well-maintained environment for everyone.
